Beijing Pass

BEIJING PASS is a versatile transportation card for foreign visitors exploring China issued by the Beijing Municipal Government. The card is issued on a sale basis and is available for recharge. With access to public transportation services in over 300 cities across China, BEIJING PASS can also be used in designated (authorized) commercial, cultural, and tourism sectors in Beijing.

How to Buy

BEIJING PASS is issued on a sale basis. Once sold, the card cannot be returned or reported lost. Upon request, the remaining balance can be refunded. However, in the event of loss, the remaining balance on the card cannot be retrieved. The card can be purchased at designated self-service kiosks and staffed service counters at Beijing Capital International Airport, Beijing Daxing International Airport, Beijing's subway system, and Yikatong self-operated offices (Dongzhimen, Xidan). Foreign visitors must present valid identification, such as the Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macao Residents, Travel Passes for Taiwan Residents to Enter or Leave the mainland, or foreign passports when purchasing the card.

 

 

How to Recharge

 

BEIJING PASS can be recharged at designated self-service kiosks and staffed service counters at Beijing Capital International Airport, Beijing Daxing International Airport, Beijing's subway system, and Yikatong self-operated offices (Dongzhimen, Xidan). Each recharge amount for BEIJING PASS must be in multiples of RMB 10, with a maximum balance limit of RMB 1,000.

Scope of Usage

(Public Transportation)

BEIJING PASS can be used in the subway, buses, trams (Western Suburb Line, Yizhuang T1 Line), suburban railway, Capital Airport Express, Daxing Airport Express, Beijing Cruising Taxis, etc. in Beijing. Additionally, the card can be used in over 300 cities of prefecture level and above across China for public transportation services (like buses, subways, light rails, trams, ferries, etc.), including popular tourist destinations, such as Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Suzhou, Tianjin, Chengdu, Chongqing, and etc..

*When using BEIJING PASS outside Beijing, please refer to the scope of use and ticket pricing policies issued by the local government and operating companies. The card can be accepted by all terminals labeled with China Transportation Union

How to Use BEIJING PASS

When using BEIJING PASS, please note that each card can only be used by one person. You need to swipe your card to get on and off the train and enter and exit the station. The cardholder is eligible for the current preferential policy of public transportation in Beijing. Before making purchases at designated (authorized) commercial, cultural, and tourism venues in Beijing, please first confirm that the "BEIJING PASS" sign is posted there, then show your card to the staff. You may follow the staff's guidance, tap your card on the POS machine, check the amount you need to pay, and make your payment.
